Description:
Inside Sales, Customer Service and Quotations is the life blood
of our organization. Experience lighting people will provide sales,
support and service to all our distributor customers. Quotations,
product crossovers, lighting layouts supplement our outside sales
force and help close immediate sales. A successful candidate will
have 2+ years of lighting experience preferably in a manufacturing
environment. The candidate will work closely with management and
have high visibility within the organization. Hard work, creativity,
and salesmanship will be rewarded.
Essential
Functions (includes, but are not limited to):
• Receives and responds to incoming calls from specifiers,
representatives, distributors and contractors by answering their
questions and, if necessary, directs call to the appropriate department.
• Provides quotations, product crossovers and lighting layouts
to help sales force and distributors close sales.
• Develops sales opportunities by building rapport; providing
technical information and explanations; preparing quotations and
soliciting business from existing customers.
• Provide quotations based on profit parameters.
• Closes new accounts by answering telephone, fax, and e-mail
inquiries; verifying and entering information.
• Processes RGA requests and follows up to ensure the request
is processed quickly and accurately.
• Evaluates all expedite requests to determine urgency.
• Processes credit and commission adjustments and provides
accounting with proper information.
• Responds to all field problem calls and resolves minor
problems.
• Assists in keeping representatives updated on new product
information and changes in products.
• Work with operations to ensure excellent customer service
and meet lead time commitments.
Skills and Key Competencies (includes, but are not limited to):
• Experience in the lighting or electrical industry.
• Excellent verbal, written, and phone communication skills.
• Strong customer orientation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and work
cooperatively as a member of a team.
• Very good time management skills and the ability to organize
and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to consistently achieve superior results working
in a fast-paced environment and under the pressure of tight time
requirements.
• Experience in providing customer service duties that requires
the ability to understand technical information and details.
• Excellent computer skills including order entry system,
quotations system, excel and e-mail.
